WV Farmers Welcome 2022 Summer Ag Institute

After two years of cancellations due to the COVID pandemic, the Summer Agriculture Institute successfully returned on June 22 - 23, 2022.

A total of 14 teachers attended from around WestVirginia. The SAI took place in Jefferson and Berkeley counties where attendees toured farms and learned what each farm had to offer. Teachers experienced hands-on learning, enjoyed meals fresh from the farms, learned about agricultural teaching resources, and left with lessons, agriculture magazines and books to use in their own classrooms.

A special thank you to the farmers who welcomed the SAI and took the time out of their busy schedules to teach attendees about what they do every day. Also, a special thank you to Morgan County Farm Bureau which donated lunches for the teachers.

​The 2023 Summer Agriculture Institute will take place in the Wood County area.
